Overview
EMF safety meters & monitors
We supply into the telecoms, defence, satcom, broadcast, industrial, scientific & medical sectors providing instruments for measuring and monitoring electric and magnetic fields across the Radio Frequency (RF) & microwave bands as well as Extra Low Frequency (ELF) measurement equipment for ‘power’ or ‘mains’ frequencies .
As well as measurement or survey equipment we provide personal monitors which are used to monitor RF exposure levels in the workplace and area monitors which are used to monitor field strength in a fixed location. Our meters, probes and monitors are manufactured by Narda Safety Test Solutions.

More about EMF Safety
It's not as complicated as you think…
EMF safety is a niche subject so we know everyone won’t be an expert, we pride ourselves on being able to explain EMF safety issues in simple terms.
In the UK and other countries around the world it’s a legal requirement for employers to perform an EMF safety risk assessment. For most this doesn’t mean making measurements, there is a list of applications that have been assessed and are known not to present a hazard, or may only be a hazard to workers considered to be at particular risk e.g. those with active implanted medical devices such as pacemakers.
Equally the list contains applications that can be a hazard and require a more detailed assessment. However most of these more detailed assessments are surprisingly simple and we’re happy to share our expertise to make the process as easy as possible.

BFD-400: Digital B field measurement 1 Hz to 400 kHz
For more years than we care to remember the Narda ELT-400 was the go-to for low frequency magnetic field measurements. […]

A common question we get is what to do if a personal monitor like the Radman gives an alarm. One […]
Continue readingNarda BFD-400
Just like the rest of the range of Narda digital field probes the new BFD-400 is designed to meet the demands of different applications – as you’d expect it can be connected to a handheld meter or (coming soon) via Narda TSX software, it will be possible to directly connect just the probe to a PC, really useful in lab/test environments.
Continue readingDigital EMF Probe Repeater
Sometimes it’s really useful to connect a field probe via fibre optic cable. It might be lab use where you want to make field strength measurements in an anechoic chamber, it might be on a test range where you need a lot of distance between the field probe and you, it might be you need something with great immunity so you can make high field strength measurements.

Industrial EMF safety assessments aren’t exactly glamorous and hazards can be overlooked in favour of things that get the headlines
Continue readingEMF safety: broadband probe correction factors
It’s not uncommon that we get questions about how a meter, like the Narda FieldMan, reads and applies probe calibration / correction factors.

When selecting a 5G measurement method always consider the purpose of the measurement and the audience for your results. The […]
