Leading SSPA manufacturer Exodus has introduced new models designed to replace aging TWT technology.

Class A/AB Model AMP2085D covers the frequency range 2 to 8 GHz and provides output power of 300W minimum, 400W typical & 55dB gain and compared to TWTAs has excellent P1dB power/gain flatness. Units include forward/reflected power monitoring, VSWR, and voltage/current/temperature sensing. The nominal weight is 75lbs in a compact 6U chassis.

Designed for EMC Testing as well as Mil-Std 461(RS103) applications Model No AMP4065LC covers 18 to 26.5 GHz & AMP4066LC is a Ka band unit covering 26.5 to 40 GHz, both provide 40W+ power output. Again supplied as 6U designs they provide 46dB min-gain, -20dBc harmonics as well as gain control with < 10dB noise figure and very good P1dB power compared to TWT based solutions.
